With gamers increasingly going back to in-person gaming and events, CMON is pleased to announce that Adam Lovell has been tapped to head CMON’s Organized Play and Events initiatives.
Furthermore, Lovell has been named the worldwide brand manager of CMON’s long-running A Song of Ice and Fire: The Miniatures Game, a position where he will work closely with Song’s co-designer and CMON’s Design & Development Director, Michael Shinall, co-designer Fábio Cury, and Lead Producer, Rebecca Ho, to bolster the amazing growth the game line has enjoyed since its launch in 2018. Lovell will continue in his current role as VP of Sales. Lovell, who has been with the company since 2017, spearheaded this year’s A Song of Ice and Fire: The Miniatures Game National Championships, held live at Gen Con.
“The player community that’s formed around Song is simply the best in the gaming industry, and I can’t wait to work with the line masterminds, Michael, Fábio, and Rebecca to help them keep that momentum going,” said Lovell of his new responsibilities. “We have so many exciting things planned over the next few years, and being a longtime fan of the tabletop miniatures experience, working in this capacity is a dream come true.”
Additionally, CMON is happy to announce that Geoff Skinner has been promoted to SVP of US OPERATIONS & ENTERTAINMENT with a focus on fostering strategic relationships as well as CMON’s ongoing expansion into new categories of publishing, gaming, licensing, and entertainment. He will continue to report directly to CMON COO, David Preti.
“It’s been so gratifying over the past few years to see CMON’s titles and brands expanding into other forms of entertainment, because our games do tell the most incredible stories,” said Skinner. “I am always struck by the quality of work our producers, designers, artists and sculptors put into creating the look, tone and feel of the worlds our games inhabit. It’s always felt like a natural progression to push these titles into new and unexplored territories.”
These new appointments will not only help grow and evolve CMON’s consumer-facing events, but will also strengthen overall US operations.
